Eden Prince - Let It Go
Axtone Records welcomes Eden Prince to the label with a trio of singles that make up his debut EP on the imprint: ‘Memories’ showcases both his musical influences and studio dexterity across the house music spectrum.
Hailing from North London, UK artist Eden Prince (actual name) has been making waves over the last few years both collaborating and remixing the likes of Kream, Louisa, Kelly Clarkson and Charlie Puth have seen him racking up 100m streams whilst his remix of ‘Hearts Aint Gonna Lie’ by Arlissa & Jonas Blue hit the #2 spot on Shazam.
The disco-house first single ‘Let It Go’ samples the Kings of Tomorrow feat Dawn Tallman track of the same name taken from the Defected records catalogue.
Next up ‘Lift Your Energy’ is a slice of feel-good piano house that’s 90s influences cut through both audibly and through the various releases’ visual accompaniments.
Finally, the third but lead single is ‘Memories’ featuring Nonô co-written with Kah-Lo (Diplo, Idris Elba, The Knocks, Riton and Perto) and has by far the year’s biggest bassline.
Eden: “Memories was a long time in the making. I was going through some old ideas and found one from 2016 called ‘check out this baseline’. I opened it up and the project was nothing but a simple bass melody. I built it up and added some drums, then combined it with a vocal I had found in another old demo. I then played it to a singer called Nonô who liked it and I recorded her in the studio there and then. She killed it and what you hear now is the result!”
